Phase 2.2 – Sample – ABC Company Core Competency

Following the SWOT analysis and strategy workshop #1, the strategy team reached out to XXX Company’s past clients, interviewed them regarding what they most value of XXX Company’s products and services:

  • “Why did you initially do business with XXX Company?”
  • “Why do you continue to do business with XXX Company?”
  • “What 2 or 3 things does XXX Company provide that are of highest value to you?”

Key factors surfaced by the clients were summarized and consolidated for the team’s review on strategy workshop #2. The strategy team screened each of the competencies up against Prahalad and Hamel, and Collin’s “Hedge Hog”, factors, and rated each on 1-5 scale.
