Honoring the Craft
This edition of our newsletter is dedicated to fellow strategic planning colleagues in the trenches guiding planning and management activities. LBL founder and president, Randy Rollinson, recently attended the 2007 Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) annual conference held in Long Beach, California. Founded in 1999, the Association for Strategic Planning is the only not-for-profit professional association dedicated to advancing thought and practice in strategy development and deployment for business, non-profit and government organizations.
ASP members include:
- Organizational Leaders: business, government and non-profit leaders responsible for strategy design and execution, from CEO through those leading a division, department, or team that has a critical strategy component;
- Strategy Practitioners/Consultants: internal and external practitioners/consultants who provide content and process expertise for setting and implementing strategic direction; and
- Academics: professors, authors and students who create and transfer new knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of strategy and further the profession.
