We manage our client’s planning processes within MAPPware 2.3, LBL’s web-based suite of planning tools that provides a single point access to all of your plan’s information from its development through ongoing implementation and performance evaluation.
MAPPware is LBL’s suite of web-based planning tools that will assist you with all aspects of the strategic planning and management process. MAPPware’s practical guidance leads you through the environmental scan process, the defining of vision, mission and goals forming your strategic direction, development of an operating plan to meet your goals, and support the management of information specific to your plan’s ongoing implementation and performance evaluation.
MAPP® stands for Management through Applied Planning Process ®, LBL’s proven methodology for helping organizations focus, make better decisions, and grow. MAPPware 2.3 is LBL’s software application that supports our methodology and is deployed over the web. Designed as an executive management tool, MAPPware streamlines the strategic management process at all levels of the organization by supporting communication, collaboration and the leveraging of organizational knowledge. MAPPware is a user-friendly, intuitive application that allows designated users to participate in robust real-time strategic planning and management processes anywhere the Internet is available.

Getting Started
When you decide to use MAPPware 2.3 to support your strategic planning and management process, LBL’s System Administrator will set up your account by defining a Value Administrator and a Team Manager (sometimes both roles are performed by the same individual). The Team Manager easily and quickly adds members and guests to the team who are notified via a system generated email with start up instructions and a system generated password.
Technical Requirements
MAPPware 2.3 is best used with Internet Explorer, version 5.0 and above. To best display the MAPPware application, we recommend the following. From the Control Panel, select the Display icon and the Settings tab, verify the following settings: Colors should be set to 256 colors (or higher); Font should be set to Small fonts; and Resolution should be set to 800 x 600.
Users
There are three types of MAPPware end-users:
The Team Manager guides the strategic planning and management process by defining the work plan, consolidating input from team members and managing timelines. The Manager has the authority to add other users and define their roles.
Team members are active contributors to the strategic planning process. They provide valuable input at every stage, from the environmental scan through helping define the company vision, mission, values and goals and creating and reporting on an operating plan designed to meet those goals.
Guests can login to MAPPware 2.3, read comments posted in the Forum, and view information that the Team Manager has made available.
In addition, there are two types of MAPPware Administrators. The System Administrator sets up new accounts and handles any technical issues that arise. The Value Administrator manages your organization's database and may, in some case, be the same person as the Team Manager.
